It has been a long winter and we are looking
ahead to all of our Spring and Summer Weddings!

Which makes this a perfect time to catch everyone up on what Le Spose Di Angela has been doing these past couple of months! Our company has decided to go in a different direction and fully embrace the wedding and event coordinating aspect of Le Spose Di Angela!

It is an exciting time and because we are no longer selling retail, our staff has been extra busy with consulting and planning for many weddings in the upcoming months.

It has been very exciting for Angela to not only focus on the event coordinating but also be a full on personal stylist, traveling to all of the Chicago area boutiques with her clients!

A REFLECTION ON KINDNESS...

Stopped at a red light recently, I gave a donation and received a pamphlet in return. After looking through the sheet, I found a story that was just a little reminder of how we can portray kindness in our society. I read it and thought it was worth sharing on my blog...

Back when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a boy entered a coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him, ready to take his order. "How much is an ice cream sundae?" "Fifty cents," replied the waitress. The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied a number of coins in it. "How much is a dish of plain ice cream?" he inquired. Some people were now waiting for a table, and the waitress was impatient. "Thirty-five cents," she said angrily. The little boy again counted the coins. "I'll have the plain ice cream." The waitress brought the ice cream and hurried away. The boy finished, paid the cashier, and departed. While writing a research paper in my college Fashion Design class, I learned many things about one of my favorite designers, Coco Chanel. This information came back to mind this weekend while watching the very anticipated, World Premiere movie on Lifetime about her life! Coco Chanel was a pioneering fashion designer who revolutionized women's fashion in the mid-twentieth century, and yet still has a major influence on the modern fashion world today. Many of her fashions are timeless, lasting from generation to generation, including her signature "Little Black Dress". Her thought process on trends remained the same throughout her designing years: No matter what the fashion trend, style and elegance should always remain. This is one of the many beliefs Chanel stood for and is also a large part of my thinking with Bridal and Bridesmaid's fashion. Different fashions come and go, but a woman's elegance should always shine through.

The Journey of Love.

After watching a little movie called 27 Dresses, I laughed when I thought about how many similarities I could find within my own life and the many events that took place throughout the movie. Not that I've been a bridesmaid that many times, but instead the frenzied schedule I take part in while attending and organizing
weddings every weekend between April and October...Prime Time Wedding Season !

Which is why I thought it would make the perfect introduction for my first blog !!!

I wanted to begin writing a weekly blog, to able everyone out there a chance to get
a little taste of what life is like for me and to get to know my personality
before you even stop into my boutique and meet me =)

I cannot pinpoint the exact moment I fell in love with weddings,
however, I did know at a very young age this was my purpose
in life. I knew that it would not only be a career for me,
but a way of life that I knew I would enjoy every second of !
The energy and excitement that is found in every wedding
is something that almost can not be explained, but only experienced.
(Of course, there are ups and downs along the journey, but it is always worth it!)

One of my favorite moments of the wedding ceremony is
when I am with the bride and her father/escort,
right before she is lead into the procession. I hold her train and say "Here we go!"
as the ushers open the doors that lead her into the crowd of loved ones.
It's an amazing feeling to see the bride take her first steps,
literally, into a new path in life...a new journey !
And the look on the groom's face as his future wife enters the ceremony,
it is something of undeniable love, and these are the moments that I live for !
To be in the presence of that moment is what keeps my passion for weddings alive.
(And of course, it makes me look forward to my own big day !)

I hope this blog will give everyone out there a sense of the love I have for what I do and a chance to experience all the possibilities I can offer you in the planning of your own special day.
